Purpose/Need: This project will add a traffic signal to the existing intersection of Amelia Olive Branch Road and Old SR 74.
Action Necessary: Advertisement of Legal notice to obtain bids for the project.
History of Project: Traffic volumes have increased on Old SR 74 since the connection was made to College Drive. The traffic signal will provide for a safer turning movement onto Old SR 74 from Amelia Olive Branch Road.
Costs: The construction costs are estimated at $50,140.00. The funds will come from MVG and in-house labor for the design of the project.
Expected Outcomes: Improved safety to the motoring public with a new traffic signal installation.
Time Period: This project is scheduled to be completed by February 29, 2012.
