Construction

The Clermont County Highway Department is principally responsible for the maintenance of an efficient, safe county transportation system. In fulfilling this objective, the department must promote and maintain a high degree of cooperation with the Board of Commissioners and local units of government, the Ohio Department of Transportation, the Federal Highway Administration and the public citizens of Clermont County. The department is responsible for County Roads and Bridges on county and township roads. Included in this activity are road maintenance, snow plowing, fleet management, construction, and administration. 

Highway and bridge engineering, the annual paving program, traffic studies, signal and lighting designs, and right of way Issues are handled by the Engineering Department at our Clermont Center Drive facility

The county Engineer is responsible for 382.8 miles of road.

There are 394 bridges on county and township roads in Clermont County

There are 1,932 crossroad pipe culverts on county roads.
