Highway Operations

Berm Work

In 2005 the Highway Department initiated a campaign to improve the safety of the county roads.  In an ongoing effort, high spots and drop-offs are being eliminated.  This is accomplished with the efforts of all crews.  Several foremen have developed a good working relationship with contractors as a source of free material.  Clay and topsoil is trucked into our staging area at the Filager Road site and later used as berming material on the county roads.
