Existing rotted cribbing wall failed, which resulted in a failure of the slope into the creek. The roadway is partially blocked with barricades to protect the motoring public.

Purpose/Need: This project will repair existing landslide on the above-mentioned road located in Monroe Township.
Action Necessary: Advertisement of Legal notice to obtain bids for this project. This legal notice shall be advertised for two weeks, with the first week to be advertised in the local newspaper.
History of Project: The cribbing wall has begun to fail allowing the embankment to erode; a drilled pier retaining wall has been designed to reinforce the slope. OPWC funds will be used for 79% of the construction cost with the remaining 21% to be paid by the Clermont County Engineer’s Office. The OPWC grant is # CJT02 that was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on August 6, 2008.
Costs: The construction cost is estimated to be $120,000.00.
Expected Outcomes: Repair of the existing landslide on Clermontville Laurel Road using reinforced concrete piers.
Time Period: Clermontville Laurel Road Landslide Stabilization will be completed 90 days after the notice to proceed.
